This assembly should be fit onto the axle so that the clapper inside the bell moves lengthwise to the bricks you just placed, not the sideways. In the photo above, since the ends face north/south, the clapper inside the bell would swing front/back a… — This assembly should be fit onto the axle so that the clapper inside the bell moves lengthwise to the bricks you just placed, not the sideways. In the photo above, since the ends face north/south, the clapper inside the bell would swing front/back and not side/side. If it’s not right, simply pull your brick assembly up and rotate it 90 degrees, then press it back down.

You’re done!
You can pick up the bell by the handle, but it’s not recommended that you “play” it horizontally, as the casting is heavy and the swinging motion could cause the handle to break off. It is primarily a display piece.
